Holy crud, I go out to the ranch for the weekend and look what happens. Nice work Chris, it looks great. Now if you can just get the steering parts in you might make it to the bash with a scout.
I tried to get the 67 going this weekend but it just didn't want to stay running. So it looks like I am bringing the blazer to the bash. I'll make sure I show off some crack at the bash since everyone wants to see it.

its ok Randy he is telling the truth
![]() So after the cut and turn weekend i didnt know what was worse, doing all the work or Ziggy passing gas all day. I guess it was ok though because Ziggy likes too lean up against Chris while he is laying under the scout ![]() Today was VERY productive. I'll let Chris update you guys on it. Just know I did all the work again!

No, only crappy cell phones like yours gives him gas.
![]() Like I had mentioned yesterday, today was a short worklist but it was going to be time consuming. The day started with a step backwards. Last night I was tortured with the thoughts of not torquing the driver-side front spindle to the knuckle housing. I remember yelling at the kids about something and when I got back to the brake installation did I torque the new bolts or did I just proceed with assembly. So, I took everything apart and made sure, luckily I did. ![]() After that it was a full afternoon of running brake lines and installing a prop valve for the disk brakes. One positive note was with my MC I had upgraded to from the stock single canister. I used a '74 cj drum/ drum that has worked well and an easy swap. With some research I decided to use a '76 cj disc/drum in the same confiuration that I currently have since there will be no need for further mods to get it to work with my set-up. When I picked-up the MC it looked very familiar. I brought it home and put it next to the one I currently have and it was identical. So in the house and on the computer for some cross-referencing. Long story short, it is the same MC for both applications. If I was running a booster that would have changed but I am not currently. The rest of the day was spent bending wire to see how brake lines were going to be ran and making double flares with a cheap flaring tool. It was a pain so I made the obvious choice and had Gib do it. ![]() Halfway through installing the lines we had a problem with the threading on the front line output of the prop valve and could not get the brake line inserted. Luckily I had another SII prop valve and we made the swap. It was not the best looking job running the lines but I am running against a timeline and getting something to function properly was the most important thing at the moment. After that was completed it was time to bled the brakes. In climbs Gib, now known as La Pumpa, into the nose bleed section of the truck, the front seat. Pumping the brakes and getting the air out of the lines was the name of the game. A few minor tightening of lines and we are now good to go. So the truck runs and now stops, I just can't steer it at the moment so no test drive to see if there is a big difference in stopping power. Can't wait for the test drive! Not many pics taken today since it was not a glamerous process but I did take a couple of photos of the finish work. I took pictures in the dark to help it look a little better.. ![]() New braided lines!!!!!! ![]() MC after La Pumpa sprayed fluid everywhere. ![]() Valve pic. ![]() It was a big weekend for accomplishments and got alot checked off the To Do list. I am waiting on some wheel spacers to come in this week as well as my new steering set-up. A few other smaller things as well plus getting everything together for the Bash. The steering is the biggest part on if the truck will make it for this coming weekend. I will keep everyone updated on the progress. Thanks again La Pumpa for all the help today. I would not have gotten everything done today without your help. Ziggy

You know, if you were as excited about getting mine done it would have been done by now.
![]() Great work, I cant wait to see it at the bash. Are you bringing along your ace mechanic La Pumpa to the bash?

Awesome work Chris. Everything is falling into place nicely.
You really didnt have those mc lines tight and thats the reason brake fluid was shot everywhere. Dont blame that on poor Gib.How many cell phones do you know that could be eaten by a half-crazed dog and work flawlessly? Holes and all. Crappy phone?...I think not!

) Poor ziggy needs a bath, Dont look now but I think Cellphone gas is very attractive to fleas ![]() I am afraid I will not be able to make it to the bash this time. Finals are the priority, even though I wish it were otherwise! Drink one for me and have some fun! ![]() oh and that is THE La Pumpa to you!

Maybe its the smell of your moon pies that attract Ziggy to your phone Davis?
