Default 75 Scout II followed me home!

Funny how that works, you give a guy a piece of paper with some numbers on it and next thing you know there is a Scout on the trailer behind your truck! I just picked up this 75 Scout II Sunday morning down in Southern IL and brought it back yesterday. Pretty much all original other than a set of 2" springs. I have the original title issued in 1975 for it, this one is replacing the fiberglass Scout II and it gives us a 'quick driver' for the summer. I still want to get my 79 done yet this summer, but now we're set up to go to Midwest Classic if we want to (thinking strongly about doing so, I've wanted to go for a few years) and Red Power and of course Nats. The hard top will be a lot nicer on the road than the soft top 79, it already is set up with AC and cruise (that actually WORKS, that's a first for me, a Scout with working CC!).
It needs some maintainance type work on it, I think it's getting the new aluminum radiator sitting in the garage, some new hoses, fluids (of course) and the usual going over. Probably a tune up, new wires plugs etc., upgrade the AC, and then good to go. Here is the link to the for sale listing on here, and a link to the photobucket page with a ton of pics of it. I haven't had a chance to even take a picture of it yet, just got it unloaded tonight, my schedule has changed for three days so I don't have time to do much when I get home.

Congrats on yet another fantastic acquisition! You seem to continue to upgrade every year and it couldn't happen to a more deserving guy. Look forward to checking it out at NATS!!!

Dennis,
Mrs JJ and I are so glad that you and Tammy are the new caregivers to the Scout. It 100% needed to go home with you! The CC DOES work! On the way to meet you, I set it at 75, and evidently I was going 80-85 according to Toby in the chase vehichle. We are looking forward to reading about your adventures at the shows, and of course the retrofitting etc. I'll still buy you that coke at Nats.

Actually, I was really tempted to grab the wrecked Scout II in AR that JJ got. When he was able to get to it quicker and then decided to sell Donna's Scout, I showed the pictures to Tammy and got the 'go ahead' to proceed

The fiberglass Scout is spoken for, it's going to Robert out in MT, one had to go to pay for the other one. If only I had money enough to have all of them! It's a win-win-win situation for all concerned, we all got something that we really wanted and the deals were good all the way around. Now I just need to get cracking on it, next week looks a lot more promising than this week, I don't do early mornings well

That is a awesome rig Dennis..some guys have all the luck. Robert in MT is a great guy that scout will get a good home...not to mention he pretty much handles only top quality from what I have scene pictures of and in person at the Colorado Show. Looking forward to seeing it..I like the color of it also, remember the Terra I painted that color?

Yep, I liked that Terra a lot. But look at you now, you're hauling in a new IH about every two days it looks like! I just wish I had a chance to work on it, so far between work and trying to catch up on stuff around the house and all, I haven't done much but unload it from the trailer. Maybe tomorrow, I have yard stuff to do but that shouldn't take more than a couple hours, then maybe I can ease into some IH time.
