So, if it's not a good street driver, and not really a good off road vehicle, that to me lacks usability. I'd take a stock Rubicon over it for real "use". Or any of a number of the builds on here. So I might have an Icon in the garage to show my friends, but I'd drive something else. Scott |

Scott, look at the specs a little closer. They all have sway bars(front and back) roll cages and are not "lifted". I don't think a little mud (or much else) is going to ruin the interior.
The OP is comparing apples to oranges. There are only a small number of IHC specialist builders and I doubt they see many clients that want to spend 100k + for a build. But they do very good work. If not they don't last long.

I'm sorry, I'm looking at the actual Bronco they built, not the FJ. I would compare the FJ more to a Jeep, not a Scout. So I "assumed" the OP was referring to the Bronco, which has gotten a lot of press lately.
The Bronco I saw has a rear sway bar, not a front. The rear track is narrowed to fit inside the stock fenders. It is lifted and has taller narrow (like a 33x10.5" tire IIRC). And from what I've seen it does not have a cage. So that is what my response is based on. The FJ's are cool! No doubt. But even an old stock FJ is awesome in my opinion. ![]() Scott |

Okay. Yes the BR is a little different. Would guess they sell most of those to "collectors" and they never see any road or dirt.
It would be interesting to see one sell at auction.

I would still drive one if I had that kind of money to throw around and not keep anything in my garage just to show friends. |

Check out Tony's Scout, not blowing my horn but Tony will have a very ICONIC Scout. As stated with the money it cost to build a true frame off Scout you can build any truck. Point is there are very few folks that are will to write a check that big. I have a few very nice Internationals, but I don't think I could ever recover the investment, however I will always enjoy the hobby. And it is always a pleasure to see the look on folks faces when you pull up or in the case of Leona's Scout when you show them the tail lights
