Default T-19 rebuild?

Fishing for info.
I am thinking about doing a rebuild on a T-19w. I have never been into a transmission other than removing the cover plate. it may be fun to have a GCB work day "project"
Anyone in the club have any experience doing this? I know there is a good amount of info on the net on DIY rebuilds. If I buy the parts & provide the space anyone interested in a work day?

When I did the 3 speed (T90) in my scout 80 the most difficult part by far was finding the correct parts. I had an oddball with a different size needle bearing that couldn't be found by any of the vendors. I have a service manual and used Novak and a couple other write ups -big help. http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/t18_t19_parts.htm It looks like the T19 rebuild for IH is available at Novak - It would give you an idea anyhow of what your into. Ihon might have the kit too. Might be worth your while to research though to see if there are variants and which parts are common to wear etc. I had my tranny apart on the bench a couple weeks making phone calls and measuring parts.

I have been looking at Novak's page. I do not have a press, or Bearing separator. I can make a large bench in the garage. I also Have a T-19N that I am not going to need, if someone is interested. Maybe do two at a time? I will check with Novak about the parts and maybe do a work day in the near future.

I talked to Novak yesterday. The rebuild kit comes with a instruction manuel that they have put together. As far as tools. I can rent a bearing puller and should have the rest. Just need a press.
As soon as I can get the money together, I will post a work day request. I think in a month or so.
Other thing I would like to do is the D20 T-case twin stick conversion. Novak said this is easy also.

I never got the chance to use them yet but NAPA in Conroe has a press. Before I got deployed they told be they could remove and install press fit bearings while you wait. Obviously you just gotta bring them the individual parts. Pretty cheap to. Think like 15 or 20 bucks. FYI just in case you get in a bind.
