Default Made in USA freeze plugs?

Does anyone know if there are still any made in USA freeze plugs/expansion plugs out there? I know most of Dormans stuff is all China now. I would like to find some good USA (brass) ones for the 392 I am rebuilding now. Any help would be appreciated!

subscribing to this thread, as my only thought is good-freaking-luck. Just found out the hard way that many seemingly common maintenance items aren't available period as made in the US parts any more. My most recent find - Ford 9" axle shaft bearings. As common as these axles are, especially in the performance market, you'd think that it would be a piece of cake to find..nope, not even from Timken, at any price.

Default Re: Made in USA freeze plugs?

EDIT: I FOUND SOME!
This site has many different dimensions listed for ford, chevy, jeep etc., hopefully you can find the right size. They all appear to be made by QualCast but some are listed as made in America! http://www.store.partsdinosaur.com/page57.htm or you can go direct to the manufacturer's site.

QualCast LLC offers many parts for diesel and gas powered IH engines, 4,6, and 8 cyl. Can't confirm if ALL the parts are in fact of US origin but I imagine the company can answer that question by part number via email. However, on their website's home page they say "All plugs are Made In The USA!" Hell Yeah! MERICA!!! To make finding what you need easier, they even provide a cross reference by competitor part number! Very Nice. Also check out their catalog here, http://www.qualcast.net/Catalogs.aspx
You can download it in a zipped .pdf.

(Pre-Edit Post) I dig this thread. Sorry, can't help with the freeze plugs but I've tried to always buy Made in USA products first. As previously stated its getting hard to do. Tools are still somewhat easy to find depending on what you are looking for but are usually more expensive. I call it the price of freedom! USA parts are increasingly difficult to locate. I'll try to find some expansion plugs for you. Its been my experience NAPA is one of the only mainstream parts houses that includes origin of production in the parts info when they pull 'em up in their computers.
Hey moderators!!? Respectfully, Can we make a running thread to post Made in USA parts!??

Here's an alternate site you may find some stuff.
http://www.americansworking.com/autoparts.html
This is kind of a Made in USA search engine.
