YES!! A STICKY WOULD BE GREAT! I kept looking for one... but... obviously not there
5 stud vs 9 stud? explain... I didn't know they made different ones as both of our scouts have this style of rocker.
Also... the power-steering bracket, the previous owner somehow cracked the thing into 4 pieces... may have pics? ill look, but my father pulled a bracket off another 76 parts car. But he forgot how it goes together... anyone have pictures of how this bracket mounts to the motor? I tried for hours with no success
AND lots more parts cleaned up painted and going together, since I'm out of college for the next few months, its work, scout, eat, sleep, repeat!
ok here is the powersteering bracket...
ENGINE DONE! almost...

Sweet! I have a pic of my engine showing pump, but my AIR pump is in the way. If you need, I can take a close up pic of it.

As for the rocker arm assemblies, the earlier motors prior to 1976 had 9 studs. My dad's 74 plow truck had 9 studded asseblies. From there, when I got my 79 scout, 80 scout and 78 scout, I scoured salvage yards and managed to find 9 studded assemblies to use in them because I didn't like the cutback they did with that. That's one thing I think they should have left alone.
