Who cares about what other people think is better or worse. Buy what you like.

Internationals need a whole different set of tools, and they are very hard to find.

Broncos are more popular and more expensive. Drive a couple of each and see what you like.
I like Scouts for a number of reasons, but affordability is a big factor for me. I got out of the muscle car hobby because prices of cars and parts were getting out of control. Scouts are cheap and will probably stay cheap, parts too.

I have owned two broncos a 1976 and a 1982. The 1982 had about the same creature comforts as a scout II from 1972. I still own two scouts and zero broncos. Just go drive one of each in the same condition and make the choice. The bronco will cost about twice as much as a comparable scout.
Good luck |

Back when I started getting into Scouts in the mid 90s, ANY early Bronco I saw was at least $2500. I paid $250 for my first Scout. I've owned around 10 Scouts, and the most I ever paid was $600.

IH is a part of life for me. I like to be different. Anyone and basically everybody has a jeep, bronco, or blazer. Scouts are kinda the "odd ball" which I like because they are different. Ive owned over 150 Internationals and I have never, ever had two excactly the same. So thats why I am a scout purist...they are unique. Almost everywhere I go I get thumbs up or someone will strike up a conversation about their granpas old binder, etc, etc. Brings smiles to people faces. Although there are the few that cant tell the difference between a classic scout and a classic bronco, so I got something to "help" them out a little.

I see it this way: Exchange the word "Bronco" for "Pinto", and you'll see why...
