Default Smaller version of this mirror?

Does anyone know of a smaller version of this mirror? I don't mean glass size but the bracket. I have an almost identical mirror to this one on my Scout but it's about 5-3/4" bolt to bolt and I had IHON measure theirs and it's 10" bolt to bolt.

I'd rather not keeping adding holes to my truck and would like to find an exact replacement if possible.

This is the mirror on my truck.

Not to point out the obvious, but can you put the new mirror on the old bracket?

Maybe I can, not sure. I'm sure I can do a little custom bending to the new ones and make them work....I hope. I was just hoping someone might know what the smaller ones on my truck were and save me from paying $170 for the new mirrors and have to start bending and altering them and then not have them work and can't return them.

I think if I turn some brackets around I can make these work.

Didn't they use similar mirrors on some of the mini-vans?...maybe the Ford Aerostar? Looks like I might have found it.

I actually think the mirrors that were put on my truck were from a Ford Bronco II or a Ford Aerostar.

Coincidentally, I was able to have some shipped to my local Napa Auto parts for half the price of IHON and don't have to worry about shipping them back if they don't fit.

This is why it pays to shop around, shipping and restock fees are ridiculous.
Try the local parts store first, nothing against the LL dealers, it could just save a bit of headache and dough.

As mentioned the Bronco II and Aerostar had the smaller style mirrors that looked like the ones used on Ford full size pickups and vans. I use a large set on my Terra and the smaller style on my daughter's Traveler.

Wrecking yards are also a good and inexpensive source for items such as these.

Where were you when I needed you? LOL (just kidding)

I actually didn't know this until after I did some google-ing and it jarred my memory that my buddy's dad used to have a mini-van with these mirrors on it.

I thought about going to the junk yard but I figured I'd save my gas and time since most mirrors as old as mine will probably be in even worse shape than the ones I already have.
