How hard would that be to put on an Scout 80? What is the gear ratio? My son and I are thinking about starting on the 63.

Change the spring mounts on the frame to Scout II width...the axle is a few inches wider than stock 80.

Back into the garage.
Had the trailer hooked up the Scout ready to head out to the rendezvous. Saw leak coming from the front left of the engine.
The throttle shaft seal on the injection pump was gushing Diesel fuel. A minor fix but not able to fix it in an hour. Scout stayed home.

Glad you had a smooth trip home.

I made one trip down the hill, up a little rise, and down across a wash. Then I came to a stop. Heading into the valley, I went over the river then turned to the north and up a series of small rises.

Next, I turned due south, then drove to the west in big circle around a hill, and I was at AZIHR 2012. Later, I returned home, but that's a whole 'nuther story...

Hope all had fun!

took my daughter for her first ride in the Scout. Only went around the neighborhood but needless to say she was totally thrilled and the smile on her face was incredible.
