Been working on this all week will have the roof painted and the bottom stripe painted either this weekend or early next week...Got alot going on this weekend. Nick Rayer I think has talked me out of painting the rest of it and I really see his point about keeping it as original as possible. He looked it over last weekend and that was his thoughts. I am going to wheel the paint out and see what it looks like. I also have removed the front cow catcher and that is all painted. I will be bringing home a73 pickup tomorrow morning and the interior will be transplanted over to this truck I think if I want to keep it the blue. If not I will put that interior in the other 74 and the interior from the other 74 into this truck since it is black. Pic coming soon!

Sill haven't got the paint done, weather hasn't been the best and alot going on but I need to get it done this week. I have 3 scouts to pic up and want to do it in one trip so need that truck. I have some things done for the truck though, I picked up some chrome rims for 50 bucks they are in so so condition but the tires are about 70% tread on them. I picked up a roll bar for 30 bucks and it fits right in with little modification, guy didn't know what it was out of. It was chrome and covered in surface rust so I painted it. Got the cow catcher painted. I also was at the junque yard the other day and pulled a sunvisor off a 82 dodge truck. I have made some modifications to it, I cut the edges off the outsiade and made it a little wave on the side so it would fit, more less reformed them and I will paint that white when the paint SOON. The picture of the visor has the lights removed I did that to paint. I also picked up some rubber mats at the junque yard out of other trucks a little trimming and they fit pretty good. The hitch in the picture I picked up for the truck it's a direct bolt on, Draw-tite 75034

Some how I lost the pic on my phone of the seat. But I pulled a tan seat out of a 82 dodge pickup from the junque yard that had a convertion package in it. I bought several cans of spray die and sprayed it black. Actually you can see the original colour of the seat if you look around the center console. I pulled the wood of to put some stain on the wood and paint the seat and forgot to paint the one piece that was attached to the wood cup holder. May leave it don't know yet. It is stapled to the wood I would have to remove it then spray it then restaple it. I also had a pair of door panels that were stained and I never could get the stains out of them. So, it worked out I also sprayed them black with the die. Attached are the pics. I am going to make it a priority to get the white painted on the truck this week. Once that is done I will get the exhaust done on it. I will have to make some alterations to the seat mounting brackets to make the seat mount in the truck. I have a decent original black seat already but want one that is a little more comfortable plus this has a fold down center console...

Well finally, white paint is done! Got a few things done on it, cow catcher painted, roll bar in and lights hooked up, tires/rims changed out, rear window decal installed, bed mat in, interior redone and inside cab dash painted. The seat wouldn't fit so used a decent black factory one. The interior is all black now...with a blue floor mat Painted a tailgate and put on it.I still..well probably will paint the yellow later this summer, I tried wheeling it out, alot of the oxidization came out but still isn't cutting it for me. Been driving it all week to work runs good. I put new tail pipes on it..from mufflers forward exhaust is good...dual glass packs sounds pretty good. I did change out both manifold gaskets and donuts. New plugs wires etc Taking a while but it's getting there and got more odds and ends to do. Picked up a trans filter and fluid actually got 3 I need to service this weekend for trans fluid change and 7 oil changes ....Oh...got the fuel cell out of the back put the gas tank back in with a new sending unit..full is only half tank though..Probably will be a while before I get more done on it but will update as I go!

Front trans seal started dripping heavy, so pulled the trsns put new pump gasket, new front&rear seal and new u joints and about 10 hrs later lol she is done. Probably would have gone a little faster but the heat slowed me down!

You are an animal if you worked out in this heat for ten hours....I did some finish work on the Scout before Red Power today, and it whipped my butt. Although, I've spent the last few days hitting it hard on the car trailer, and that hasn't helped, I need a few days off!

Well it was only about a 3 hr job pulling the trans out but had a hard time getting it in and lined up. 3hrs pulling about a hr putting in new seals then about 6 hrs putting it in...dropping it back down 3 times...but it was 3 different days...

So did it fix the leak? I had one (not a Scout though) that the issue was actually the front pump bushing, easy fix had I known about it when I pulled the transmission, but once I put it back in and it still leaked I got PO'd and it went to a tranny guy.....
