Funny I think I need everything as well. Now if I could just stop myself from trying to get one of everything.

The "plan" for the suspension is laid out. Randy is waiting on a few fab pieces and some suspension bushings. Its all over but doing it now. Once the suspension is squared away, then its on to setting the drivetrain. Mounts and crossmembers. Good times.

Speaking of suspension.
We decided to go with the springs from the Dodge as they happened to be almost new lift springs, and would put it at about the height I am after. We also figured they ought to be able to support the weight of the Cummins since they were made for it. So I had to order some new spring hangers and shackles to accomplish this. Thanks to Barnes4wd they arrived in no time. But since the stock bumper mounts are attached to the spring hangers. (or I should say were, as the PO was kind enough to cut off of mine) And cause I wouldn't mind having a bumper. Some lines were drawn.

Some rough in shots attached to the spring hangers

After some prep

Dang Jamie, it seems like your builds move at light speed compared to mine! Almost 2 years on the 200 to get her in a driving state, and I don't even want to talk about my poor SII that's in a million, scattered pieces going on almost 3 years later....

That Travelette is going to be SICK! If you want some nifty bulkhead connectors, for when GRC does the wiring, let me know. They'd look good on the firewall next to that 6BT.

Well I'll definitely take all the credit for how fast my builds go. If I were working on them they would never get done. That and the quality that GRC puts out are the reasons I have given up doing things myself.
I'll talk to the GRC about the connectors and see if they have a plan in place already.
Don't worry I still have some trucks in many pieces.

Time for a little update. I initially received this image via text message without a description. So other than a good start for an Xwing fighter what could it be?

That's it. I knew they took strength seriously down there, but I didn't know that seriously.

Okay so maybe that isn't strong enough to be a cup holder so we'll have to use it as an engine mount crossmember. At least a removable section of it, so the oil pan can still be dropped without much hassle.

Did you purchase this truck from Tommy, in Rio Rancho? Friend of mine. I lived right around the corner. Beautiful rig, and looks like its only getting better. Cant wait to see the end result.
