Default Phoenix truck show on Sat - Last run for our Scout

We reluctantly decided that the 1975 Scout will become our "hot spare" vehicle, it probably will never leave Cochise County again. 10 to 11 MPG long trips is too expensive for these retired folks. We do not dare drive it off road in our local area - Too many "unlicensed pharmacists" carrying AK-47s.

The 1971 Travelette was sold and successfully driven to Jessup, PA. The 1948 KB-1 project truck was sold and lives in Penrose, CO.

The Scout is going on one more 500 mile trip before it goes on the back line. Tomorrow we have breakfast at the Hot Rod Cafe in Tucson, on to Canyon Offroad to deliver a part, and then visit some friends.

Saturday, we attend a truck show at the Flying J truck stop at 67th Ave. 10 AM to 2 PM. Maybe see you there? Flyer is attached below.

Today, we got new magnetic signs for our battered old trucks.

Note: McLean Trucking Company (east coast) used a similar logo from the 1950's to the mid 1980's.

That's a bad news/good news story Russ. Bad that you are reducing use of your Scout but good that you are keeping it. I hope you can make it to the Rendezvous, even if you aren't bringing an IH this year.
