Default engine stop mechanism

Can anybody post a picture and give me some details of how the engine stop mechanism is supposed to be set up. I cant get it to stop when i pull the knob in the cab. It either will pull and the lever on the fuel system wont go foreward or if i tighten it too much it wont pull at all from inside the cab. I must be doing something wrong for it not to work. I finally got my truck running. I drove it down the road and back and my throttle was a little tight, adjusted it. Went to back out of the driveway again and noticed oil was leaking from underneath somewhere. I would appreciate the pics of the engine kill thing and maybe another picture of the basic setup to the engine. Just like maybe an overhead shot or something thanks.

Go to this pic John posted way back:

It was actually a shot of his spin-on oil filter adaptor, if you want to go dumpster diving in the archives.
