The BBF looks like a better fit then the BBC header. Maybe some block huggers would fit between the rails.
Looks like you could weld the IH flange straight to the BBF flange and just smooth the transition.

Are you cutting the guides for PC seals? If so, are you going to add some bronze sleaves to the guides?
I've heard of people running PCs on steel but I would be concerned with excessive wear from no lubrication. The bronze is self lubricating. The PCs might help reduce oil consumption when you start pressurizing.

Maybe even some ZGS-zero gap second rings to reduce blowby.

Well I'm already running bronze guides on the intake side. But on the exhaust side I was running umbrella style seals with regular guides.

Intake valves appear to be 2.078 with a .372 stem
Exhaust valves seem to be 1.731 with a .416 stem

Anyone remember what these valves are made off? I remember the shop telling me I never have to worry about them or something along those lines lol

Stellite alloy is a completely non-magnetic and corrosion-resistant cobalt alloy. There are a number of Stellite alloys, with various compositions optimised for different uses. Information is available from the manufacturer, Deloro Stellite, outlining the composition of a number of Stellite alloys and their intended applications. The alloy currently most suited for cutting tools, for example, is Stellite 100, because this alloy is quite hard, maintains a good cutting edge even at high temperature, and resists hardening and annealing due to heat. Other alloys are formulated to maximize combinations of wear resistance, corrosion resistance, or ability to withstand extreme temperatures.

Wikipedia is my source just incase anyone cares lol

well got the whole rear end ready to bolt back in with the axle over leafs and i welded my diff. i had to cut down the bump stops and reflip the rear shackles to get enough clearance, but its going to be real low. next i have to start the front end axle over-maybe next month haha. The heads are taking forever to port, but i have the exhaust side done on 1 head haha. now a question i have for you guys that have done these heads before, can i remove the ledge that is in the bowl of the exhaust port that is right below the exhaust valve seats? i feel like rounding out the whole bowl and removing hat ledge and raising the roof of the ports would help alot on the exhaust side
