Default best fix?

A couple of the threaded holes along the bed rails where the traveler top bolts down are a bit askew.

Here is a pic

Question is should I just wack on with big hammer to level it out or is there a better option. I know I will have tap the hole again.

Thanks
Jason

It is hard to see exactly what it is doing in the picture but I say whack away! If you have something to spread the hammer whacks out a little more uniformly so you don't make it worse that would be good. Something like a real hard wood block or steel bar stock and lay it across the raised area then hit it.

i would back it up with a dolly.then hammer it back down. the other way would be to push the low spots up with a bullseye pick or a porta power.
