Got a really good deal on an original back seat so I'm mounting that in this week

Girlfriends dad offered to help make a bumper ....... A nice one so I will have some build pictures for that in little while I mocked up a design I think I like.

Next part of my build will probably be some paint , adding a fuel cell under the bed and some body work ( minor ) just would like to fix a big rip in the sheet metal where the top bolts into the bed it ripped while bolting in the top not bad but I hate knowing its like that so I'd like to fix that this summer and start making it a lil shiny

Debating paint colors id like to either the color it is or a lime green or a yellow ?
Can't decide any comments on what colors to look at.

This week I

I was thinking about doing wood in the bed but Id just knar it all up cuz I plan on using my scout for work and I'm sure playing around or hauling my buddies dirt bike in the back up to silver would not go well. But I'll be sure to post pics of the floors when they are done.

Please tell me you are joking about the laminate flooring

The new stance looks good, not too tall. Steering looks good, too. If you have issues at full droop with the drag link mounted on top of the pitman arm, you can press out the ball stud and taper from the bottom.

How's your caster angle?

I like the green and white you have now, looks pretty good IMHO.

Every thing is going good with my truck. I have been driving it a lot. Except for my tires I got a flat tire and broke my exhaust off at the manifold and am removing the manifold but I'm having trouble getting the manifold bolts out they were so rusty and rounded off that even my bolt out kit isn't helping so I'm gonna chop the bolts and them turn the rest of the bolts out with pliers once the manifold is free I on,y have two bolts left just not much time to mess with the truck right now, trying to find a new car haha blew my motor in my Mercury (I'm gonna miss that 4.6 ) ..... But hopefully this week once duck season ends ill have some more time on Saturday to get it back togather. And get it back on the road.

Not much I have done to it since the swap
Caster angle was fine everything really went good with the swap Think alot of guys on here over think swaps and drive line modifications I know I sure did I didnt have to do have the stuff guys on here were saying and honestly this truck drives great for a 50 something nearly stock mildly lifted truck. Its safe too. DIdnt need the cut and turn either although i may do it it so i can learn how for the future. For now Im still working on a fuel tank idea for it got one in the works just trying to buy my car first before i get back into dumping money into the scout

Power steering possibly yet this winter if the time allows
thinking about repainting still and just to see what kinda body work had been done to it to make it look so good yet still in reality its not that straight of a truck. Who ever fixed it up really put some good lipstick on a pig.

Pleased with the lockers and gear choice it goes through anything in 2wd and in 4wd its just plain unstoppable. It climbs up about anyhting i Have thrown at it so far cant wait to see what it does in the snow. or what it is its a great truck. Working on getting back out to take some more videos and pictures of it in action.

Ill try and get on here more and post more pics as winter goes on

Tired of dealing with trying to get IH parts ... Love scouts love original IH engines but parts are gonna get more expensive as time goes on and as much as I will pay to keep my scout on the road I'm done with original motors. I found I can do a Chevy swap for less than the price of rebuilding a 4cyl. Frankly I have come to the point where it's time for an engine swap.

My plan is put in a 350 Chevy to a sm465 to an np205.
Found the sm465 now I'm just engine shopping to find a decent 350 to put in.
I'm gonna do a jeep steering box and then pair it to the scout steering shaft.

Not sure on the radiator but I'm gonna for sure look into electric fan for it versus mechanical.

End result ..... Buying parts from a parts store will be easy wont have to wait for shipping all the time , won't have to travel far for parts.

More power and better revs for what I plan to use my truck for.

Hopefully gonna start on this once I get a new Job money has been tight so I've held off on doing it but expect alot more pictures soon cuz I'm gonna document that its not that hard to do a Chevy 350 swap. And that it dosnt cost a crap ton of money.
