we i finally tore into it some more. all 4 doors are now bare shells, the cab is completely gutted waiting for removal. i also got the engine pulled, going to chech the bearings and probably just trow in a towing cam and all new gaskets and seals, then it'll probably be EFI'd upon reassembly.

Well the plans have changed yet again. the 392 is out, the cab is bare, and getting some rust removal surgery. Also changed directions, it's getting the DT466!

thought i had some surface rust on the driver rocker... nope.


digging deeper


so that's where the good metal was


this was the hole above the passenger side where the gasket was. that's how much i had to dig to get the rust out

inner cowl areas



the rusty pile.


well she needs some tlc, good thing i have lots to give. stay tuned this is going to get interesting!
