My guess is the person who came up with the ad said "classic 4x4 vehicle" on a hilltop over looking the city. And some director or designer on site said "well that one looks good." And they made a commercial. Then again, maybe someone on the shoot was an IH fan, course I don't know what portion of IH fans overlap with Zales customer base, but I really don't care, it's a cool rig.

My wife would prefer me buy her a Scout SSII than spend money at Zales!

I LOVE MY WIFE!!!

It's heart warming to watch a couple fall in love and commit to one another for life....but I'd put that truck in a prenup. These dang'd trucks seem to last longer than most marriages!

the diet dr pepper comm of about ten years ago had my traveler in it . .
the comm was labeled 'chimps' had eric estrada driving a stakebed truck full of bananas, and two chimpanzees dressed as california hiway patrol motorcycle officers on motorcycles ride up along side of the truck, and motion eric to pull over
in the background are a lot of 70's vehicles driving in other lanes, and my traveler with me driving pulls alongside and passes the banana truck.
that was a fun shoot. I was hired to keep all the junk vintage cars working for the takes. and i dont know where or who they got those cars from, but what rolling wrecks they were!
after each take it was ---quick get 'em all running again- fix leaks, swap batteries ..
the attrition rate was such that they were ******* vehicles about one per take, one engine died, anothers trans quit . .. etc>
finally they needed another 70's era vehicle 3 left running at this point and I had driven to the freeway location in my yellow white traveler, and the director needed it in the next shot- so i drove it for that take, which ended up being the one in the commercial they showed on tv.
