If you order the Intermittent/Delay, Then you will have to either drill out the knob or file the delay switch shaft to accommodate the original look. They do self-park, are quiet and fairly easy to install and work very well! I have installed a few and sold many. So far, All have been satisfied with no complaints. In the future, If I should have to do another install, I will try to remember to take a video and post up when I have done so.

So this kit will not work with the defrost duct and tubes?

It does fit with the factory defrost setup. You do have to be careful to route the tubes around the wiper mechanism. My biggest problem was with the radio speaker, I bought one that was almost too deep and I had to move the dash out about 1?4 inch.

I've purchased my wiper conversion kit and started the install. I'll take pictures as I go. I already ran into one problem/question though. Take a look at the picture. How do I get this part OFF? It's the exterior part that actually turns when the wipers are connected. Do I just need a TINY allen wrench? I see the two small pin holes which obviously have something to do with their attachment, but I can figure out if I should poke, twist, pull or what. I can't for the life of me figure out how they come off. I don't really want to cut them off, because I may re-sell all the old parts if someone is interested.
Thanks, mc |

It's not an allen key. Use a real small punch or a small finish nail and knock the pen out. Be careful not to hit it too hard or you can break the shaft. Go slow and you'll do fine.

It is a roll pin that holds the spline on, pay careful attention to the order that everything comes off in. When you drive the pin out support the spline on the other side so you don't bend anything, they can come out hard.

Excellent! Thank you gents. A finish nail and some gentle "persuasion" popped those pins right out. Deconstruction complete... moving onto installation this weekend.

Wow. This electric wiper conversion was actually pretty easy to do. I got it installed last night. The only real hard part was taking off the dashboard which is never any fun.
I thought the instructions could have used a bit more detail, but in the end, I was able to figure it out (and I'm pretty much a mechanical idiot). It just took me a little while to realize that I needed to take the wiper arm rod piece apart first. There are a few pictures below. I have a right hand drive, so placement of the washer fluid tank was anyone's guess. It appears the truck used to have this feature. There is a washer button on the dash and a squirter nozzle l thingy on the hood. But no evidence of where the washer bottle should go. Question, my wiper fluid squirters are aimed too low. They hit at the very bottom of my windshield (actually below the wiper itself). Is there any way to adjust the aim? mc |

I have the same problem, a bit of epoxy on the bottom of the nozzle and work it down by hand and you can get it where you want it. Make sure you align it while driving. The wind blows the water down lower on the windshield.
