Got moe work done ova the weekend......cut down the front clip with a sawz-all and grinded it all smooth with a 41/2" grinder and a belt sander with the help of a degree finder.......and then located the pieces onto the frame rails.

Before the smoothing

will be building cross member out of 3/16 inch plate. welded to the frame and bolt on to the IFS to tie everything together once again. Also will build up around the tubes and box in the frame. Need lots of strength up front.......will be having 500-550HP heart for truck

well......started on the right side today after being sick for a week.
Had most of my parts cut but playd around with scrap to try to dial in the mig for a nicer weld on the thinner plate. The settings indicated are not always 100% accurate. On the left side I had it set the way it was supposed to and was burning through here and there.......I think I got it dialed in good now......got good weld through and through without burn outs.....much cleaner.

got the front dialed in.......need to build the rear mounts for the lower control arms and the cross member

got 62 1/2 from WMB (hub to hub) including the rotors.

Have a 7 inch wheel with 5 inch backspace which will give me a track width of 60 1/2 inches.

I have read somewhere and if Im correct that the track width is 59 1/2 on the stock front of the IIHC KB. Ize think Im on the money

Frame is all boxed in and now for the suspension crossmember
All I have to say is that stitch welding takes a lot of time.
