Gary
I have a few questions

How in the Heck do you get so much accomplished in a short period of time? Are you secretely Chip Foose

Do you have a job?

Do you have any kids?

Do you have a wife?

Is the sun up 23 hours a day where you live?

Does the word Kriptonight slow you down?

I work quickly & efficiently. I have many trucks to use as reference guides for measurements & such. Plus, I've done this a few times now There were a few snags along the way which set me back a little bit, but for the most part the project went very smoothly.

Do you have a job?
Yes, 40 hours a week at my regular job.

Do you have any kids?
I have a stepdaughter.

Do you have a wife?
Yes, thankfully she is very understanding.

No, but the halogens make it seem like it!

LOL!

I'm pretty much burned out working on trucks for a while. I'll take a breather for a couple weeks and move on to the next project.

This was my favorite part of the whole project. It's such a small insignificant part of it, but it was fun to do!

The original brace for the seat base was rotted out. So, I drilled the spot welds & removed it. Then, I completely flattened it out and traced it out on the Travelall fender I use for small repairs. It's 18 or 20 gauge or so...much easier to bend than the 16 gauge I used on the rest of the truck. After tracing it out, I used a 1/4" bit and drilled the 4 inside corner sections on the vertical part to get a nice radius (if anyone really knows these things, you'll know what I'm talking about). I cut it along the trace lines, bent it up in the brake & bench vice and voila!

oh my goodness, thats a bunch of work in a short period of time. Now I feel very inferior. I spend the whole weekend working on the tunnel cover and you almost rebuild all the metal on the whole scout.

Beautiful work. Keep it up.

Amazing work to add to your already long list of IH accomplishments! Hope to meet you at Nats and buy you a beer!
I have only one question;

HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED WINTERING IN TEXAS?

We could certainly keep you busy knocking out a few GCB Projects!

My current welder is a Lincoln Pro Mig 140 that I picked up at Lowes on sale for $425. I'm running .035 flux core wire through it and am pretty happy with the results. That wire is a little thick for 18 or 20 gauge sheet metal, but practice makes perfect At some point I'm going to buy a bottle for it and try that.
