Default Possible MPFI/Tranny project

Hi, I have a 1979 Scout II with a 345/727. I've been doing a lot of thinking/research and if it's possible I'd like to put MPFI and a 4L80E in my Scout. I like the 4L80 a lot more than the 4L60. I'd consider TBI if MPFI just isn't going to work out though. I'm asking about the possibility of having this done at IH Only North because I really don't see me doing this myself.

I've seen a few MPFI'ed Scouts on here so I know it's possible, but not sure if it would tie into the electronic system of the 4L80. It also seems like it would be easier to take a NP 241 to go on the tranny as opposed to keeping my D20. Is this something yall can do at IH Only North? Any one recommend any alterations to my idea? Seems like a 1991 2500 Suburban 4x4 with a 350 would be the best donor of a Fuel injection, 4L80E, and passenger side NP 241. But that's if finding a donor is the right way to go or if it would be better to just buy things seperately.

I am in the Marine Corps, stationed in San Diego, and am deploying in a few months. If this is possible I figured I'd bring it up to you before hand and leave it there for the 7 months I'm gone. Paying details can be worked out later but all not a problem. I'll call up there another time to work out actual details, but I wanted to post this on here in case anyone has a bright idea or suggestion on how to make this happen.

Thanks in advance

Default Re: Possible MPFI/Tranny project

Be glad to discuss this project with you. If you can give me a call at your convenience I'll be glad to go over the options and then put a estimate together. Only snag is that I will be out of town for the next week while attending the Binder Bee in Oregon and then the following week I'll be back for Tuesday/Weds/Thursday but then I'm off again to the RMIHR show. Be back to normal after that.

Thanks
