For the Schrader valve placement, I have a set of custom valved Bilsteins on my non-IH vehicle and they were added at the bottom of the shock.

Also, I talked with a Bilstein Rep at a 4x4 show a while back and he recommended I use the 275/78 valving as a starting point on my Travelall.

That's the spot I was thinking of, but.. that's the top of the shock - you're running them upside down.

(Of course, your stickers are upside down, too.. interesting)

Not that it matters much (I've run them both ways), being a gas charged shock, but usually they go "can-up" (especially with a remote reservoir).

Interesting Tom... in automotive applications they normally go can down. You're right though, they can absolutely run either way, and on race cars they get run can up for the slight savings in unsprung weight fairly regularly.

I had Bilsteins on my 2004 F250 crew cab long bed, and absolutely loved them because they were firmer than OEM. Liked them so much, I put them on my 2005 Jeep Liberty about two months ago. Don't like them so much on the Liberty. The rear shocks feel just as soft as the OEM units I took off that had 103,000 miles on them.
