Default looking for bucket seats

I have bucket seats in my scout II and they are getting worn out. What are some seats that bolt up to the stock mounting brackets on the scout II. If there arent any what car/truck did you get bucket seats from for your scout. Or would it be cheaper to have the seats reupholster the seats?

I believe jeep seats, wrangler or cherokee. I've also seen some 79-93 mustang seats used.

I just pulled some seats out of a '86 Isuzu trooper at the local junkyard. for $22.00 The spacing of the holes in the seat bases lengthwise was perfect (12/3/8"), but they were a little narrower. I ended up using some simple strap-steel to make up the difference. No welding, and used the stock bases and sliders. Solid as a rock.

I'm not sure if newer trooper seats would work or not, but it might be worth checking out.

I used the 'second row' buckets from an (2001 I think)Oldsmobile Silhouette van. Took the seats off their detachable base and mounted them on my seat frame. The seats do have sliders. Very confortable/funtional. Armrests even. Passenger side has quick release on the backrest, driver side uses wheel to adjust backrest. $35/ea @ local PNP.

Older Explorer seats work very well also. As well as most Best Top seats for Heeps.

I used seats out of a Pontiac TranSport. I custom made my base to lower them for me. They work good in a Terra. But since the don't fold over not great in a Travel Top.

Be sure and search the threads. You will find more info and ideas than you could dream of.
