Default Looking for a good transmission shop in North or East TX

Hey guys, I'm looking for a good shop to take my Scout to. Having some tranny issues, and it's more than my limited knowledge feels comfortable trying to fix. I'm looking for a good shop who has experience with IH and 727 auto transmissions. I live in Longview, work in Gilmer (I need to meet up with y'all at Barnwell sometime), but grew up in Garland, so I don't mind bringing the Scout to DFW if needed.

I appreciate any help or recomendations

I always had really good experiences with Hayes Transmission in Tyler. I cant say anything IH specific, but they used to build all our high hp drag car autos when I was young.

I have had really good luck with Multistate Transmissions in Haltom City/Watauga. The guys name is Buddy and he stands behind his work. He rebuilt the transmission on the Scout and has even done some work on my DeLorean.

Yeh, I think they make Ford parts there. I've driven past it countless times.

You'll have to take me for a spin. I might be the first Northern Irish man to touch it since it was built!

Sounds good man. It landed in Florida and made its way to Texas so it would be great to have and real Irish man to lay some hands on it.
