I live down road 10-12 miles from you. Im familiar with carbs, mostly the 4bl types. But a carb is a carb.. I could possibly help somewhat.. im not a beer drinker but food would be nice..LOL. The powder from the ext. wont be a problem with engine in your case. Only way it got into the carb is just down the throat, not internally. Just pull the carb off and douse it with spray carb cleaner and down around the throttle plates.

Hey thanks everyone for the suggestions with this problem. Ned came out and helped me this past Saturday. And with the help of his buddy Don, we were able to get her running pretty darn well. It was the flanged brake line that I had used thinking it would be universal. However, the flange screwed me. After a little tinkering and messing with the plag wires we got the beast running. MAN!! She runs so much better with that new carb, straight out of the box. Need to do a few more things to get her up and happy. Gotta get the throttle return spring attached to something and also figure out how to install a new choke cable as the old one is about 2 inches short!!! Might be calling upon the wife's small hands to fit up under the dash if I cant fit mine up there. There are a few things to move out of the way like the ebrake and factory AC. Yup. I said it....factory!!!

At any rate, she is much closer to getting on the road and getting cleaned up. Now to thank the guys that gave me some serious help. You two were awesome and I would happily help you guys out with anything. What a great couple of guys to lend a hand and feed me some much needed information about this truck! So glad to have met the two of you and look forward to following you guys through some forest roads once she's ready! I got the beers!!!

That is the great thing about this site, help is usually just around the corner. Glad that I could help and I think once you get that choke cable changed you will be on the way. Did you say beers, thanks for the greenies (Heineken) on Sat.

Glad you clarified that or I would have had more people banging the door down!

I will keep you informed and when I get her running I will drive by your place and help with some trees!!
