Default Radiator Picher?

Anyone have one showing the lower connection?

Trying to determine if the stock hose will work with the Wagoneer radiator.

I know the upper won't work unless I remove the inlet and install an elbow in my new radiator.

Speaking of the upper, anyone have a 90* thermostat housing from a CJ-10?

Also, anyone know the diameter of the tug thermostat housing outlet?

Same as the scout?

Nuts, I was hoping it was bigger.

Also, I just found in one of your posts from several years ago that the bolt pattern is different.

For some silly reason I thought it would bolt up to the scout thermostat housing.

Eddie stated that the SD22 outlet is a 90* and would fit but I think the hose is even smaller. I need 1-1/2" so it matches the rad.

Back to Plan A: a female 1-1/4 pipe boss welded to the stock outlet and a copper el. Might work better anyway in that it would be higher and I can point it where I want.

Thanks

There are two parts to the SD series thermostat housing. The lower part that bolts to the head and the pattern where it bolts to the head is the same across all the SD variants. The Tug SD33 and maybe the SD22 have different bolt spacing for the three bolts that hold the actual thermostat in place. If you got both pieces from a Tug (I'd bet a SD22 would work too) you'd be ok if that's what you need.

Is there a good cheap source for stock SD33T thermostat housings? I've already replaced one because it pitted all the way through.

Maybe through a Nissan forklift dealer.

I'd patch it with JB Weld.

Proper coolant maintenance will go a long ways towards preventing this.
