I think I may have found the reason it would not roll.

As I was unloading the second scout the left front wheel would not roll, so I grabbed a small sledge, removed the wheel and the rotor spun freely. I put the wheel back on and .....Won't roll. Then I remember that the 4 rollers I took to bring home the first scout, and used 1 on the 2nd scout were off of my 65 scout that has drum not disc brakes. I look at the back of the wheel and there is a black mark where the caliper was hitting the wheel
I put a wheel and tire from a disc brake scout and it just rolled off the trailer like it was supposed to
Still have to test the first scout with some different wheels

Got the third one home today, will have to post pics later

Stupid SOB punchered the gas tank with the fork lift sometime before today

Did find some rust but not real bad, just in front of the rear tire on both sides. found some paper work showing it is a 1974, Will verify with VIN's later this week

That one looks pretty solid! I'd say fixer, or if the title is an issue, at the least a good tub donor.

Now heres where I get confused. If you part it out and use the frame and tub on other vehicles you have to swap the vin tag from them anyway. Who would ever know that you took a vin from a unrepairable rusted scout and put it on a good donor. If questioned just say you did a tub/frame/drivetrain/etc....swap. Thats why I keep several extra vin and titles.

Definitely great investment for the Diesel alone, Buddy! I would assume a Dana 300 TC as well?? As stated previously, The tub on the red/white '74 has just a few dings and dents but solid looking tub. Is that a second roll bar?
