Definitely a "white" on the top. Looks very good with the white wheels. If you keep them, it would be pretty trick to have them powder coated to match the satin on the top.
The top would look awesome with a flat black G.B. Scafari rack.

Man what a huge transformation you guys have made!
Great work!

Scott
Yeah its a lot of WHITE! I will probably end up painting the sides of the top with the same bedliner stuff as the exterior. But might not havent completely decided. If I do I will likely remove the windows and seals again and then paint. dunno. The white is growing on me. we will see.

yeah its a huge difference from the day it showed up at Garys roughly ONE YEAR ago. So Im pretty happy that I have made this much progress in one year. Not bad, but it really helps to have a buddy like Gary that has done so many and knows so much about them. I really cant thank Gary enough for all he has done to help me. He is a great friend.

Gee Davis,
You saying a Gary isn't worth a Pattymelt too????
Are Texans allowed that far north of the border?

I like the white of the top. And seriously if you add the G.B. Scarfari Rack, and match the rims to the top, in my opinion, it would look really stunning!
Give it some time, see if it doesn't warm up on you.

Another thought. That G.B. Scafari Rack, will need to be modular, so that it also mounts to the G.B. Scage.

There was another famous G.B., the Granville Brothers. Made the coolest racing plane ever, called the Gee Bee.

Im not gonna re-powder the wheels. They stay.

Might repaint the exterior and change the color come fall. But it will be something that matches with all the beige powder coating.

watch out Gary, these folks from Texas think you are worth a patty melt and a moonpie. In Davis' build thread they are getting queer!

Somehow I had missed that you powder coated the wheels. Yeah, totally agree then, I'd leave them as be too.

The FJ40 looks really good with the white top, and sides matching the body. I'd bet it would look pretty cool on the Scout. Time for some "Photo-chopping". In the mean time, it looks pretty darned cool, just like it is. Something to be very proud of.

OK, so less than 24 hours before the new interior is in, and some good pictures are posted...

Thanks Scott

Appreciate all the kind words.

Gary stopped by during lunch and helped me with getting the roll windows in and the wing windows mounted up. Installed all new hardware. After Gary left I installed the window access panels with SS hardware, and the powder coated metal door edge trim that holds the felt. Havent had a chance to order up the window felts, returned the ones from Anything Scout cause they needed to be altered so much. As installed the powder coated passenger seat mount for the original low back buckets. So hoping tomorrow I get the call to go get the upholstery. Seals for the full top windows were delivered today as well as the new twin stick boot which is now installed. Hope tomorrow we can get the top windows back in so that interior stays nice and clean.

BTW the smoked windows with powdered black frames looks AMAZING!!!!
