Default Weekend report 7/20/2012

So bad things happen when I don't get to see updates on my toys.
I search for more.
Found this on Craigslist about an hour and a half away from home. So when I got back in town I went and got it. Pics don't do it justice. At least not under these dumb cfl bulbs.

And some other misc. goodies like more Johnny lightning models and old magazines.
Been driving the scout a lot. Unfortunately not off road but using it at least.

That's a dang cool fridge Jamie!! I am glad, however, to not being part of loading and unloading it in the back of your truck.

I saw that on CL and showed the ad to Tammy, but with leaving for Red Power I didn't have time to call on it, or money to buy it if I had. Now I know it has a good home....

That is a sweet fridge Jamie.

Lizzy and I did a little whitewatering on the New River in WV. We had an awesome guide who showed us a great time. We surfed our raft in a huge rapid for at least ten minutes. Best of all, this fat boy never fell out. We need to make a SEBA trip up that way. Nate, we never had to drag our raft. Lizzy also spotted a yellow Traveler that looked just like the Banana Hammock, except for the stipes. All in all, a nice change of pace.

Well I'm on the road, as usual. But the family is camping up on lake Michigan. So I got these pics today from them. I guess they went for a dune ride today.

Looks like fun.

That is a really neat looking International. I guess I need to make a trip up there.
I drove my Scout around and it rained a bit, took my youngest daughter and dog to play at the lake. Then the rains came and no top. but we had a blast. Went to get lunch and ended up eating int he bank drive thru to stay dry.
Funny how the water dog, that loves to swim all day did not like being in the back of the Scout in the rain. Go figure.

Also on Sunday went with my wife and daughter to breakfast and parked closed to Wing House, as we were leaving a girls comes running out of Wing House and say wait wait don't leave, I need to tell you something, my wife gives me a weird look as whats the story here.
Well it happens that the Gm of Wing House had a diesel Scout growing up and wanted to know whose Scout this was since they were all taking pictures of it while I was eating. I told my wife this happens everywhere I go. She laughed.

what can I say, a Scout is a magnet.

I also up loaded a video of my Scout driving behind my truck. on the streets.
I am not sure if I am crazy,, but when I saw it I told my self wow what a great looking Scout. If I could have a Scout it would look like that . I guess I am losing my marvels.

Ok will post photos tomorrow .
Thanks
