Default IHC cookie cutter

Somebody had an old IH cooky cutter for sale on eBay. It was about 3" in diameter, made of steel. It looked to me like something that would have been given away to promote cream separators. Cooky was a word still used in the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s.

Guess what it sold for.

On 12 June 2012, it sold for $1,451.69, plus another $2.00 for shipping.

I hate to say it, but the days of IH being cheap are long gone.

Found an article in the June 2011 Better Homes and Gardens magazine about a lady with a beach house - but the cover photo shows and mentions her 1978 Scout.

Default Thermometer/hygrometer

I believe this is Bruce Shealy's. This is kind of a neat thermometer from the local dealer. The round cover of the needle axis changes color in response to the humidity. I have seen this on other thermometers. Usually by now, the moisture-sensitive paint has ceased to function.

I need to check my stuff...unless Bruce lifted it last time he was at my house, that is my thermometer!

Mike, you are probably right. I pulled it down from FB, and it was two weeks before I could post it, and my memory was foggy. I try to give props where due.

I have an IH thermometer, but its a tall one, its an original not a RePop like you see nowadays, its from the early 60's I think. No Colin that one is not mine, I have seen that one and did indeed think about taking it home, but I didnt.

Hopefully I got this photo upload thing figured out. If all went well, you should be looking at a dealer brochure display that has never been used. Now I just need to get some brochures to fill it up!
