Good news I was hoping it was something simple

I found a plain black gear shift knob at my O'Reilly's when I cut down the shifter in my Scout. Cost~ $10 and had a few different threaded inserts.

I had thought about something similar, however the Getrag gear shift comes up pretty much in line (about 5 inches back from the original shifter hole) with the 4x4 shifter so I would have to route it around that shifter as well. Thanks for the idea though.

Well work has had me swamped for the past month so I haven't done a whole lot. I did get my 4x4 linkage built and installed. It works well and is usable. Since I originally set out my wiring for a 4bt I am having to re-route some wires to different sides of the engine bay but that's no big deal.
I ordered a dual 10 inch pusher fan set up that came in last week and I'm now waiting on my condenser to come in so I can button up the front.
My biggest problem at the moment is, this motor has set too long and my injector seals are leaking. I got a seal kit and a buddy that can rebuild it, we just haven't gotten around to it yet.
This truck is taking waaaaay longer than I had wanted but when it's done I know it will be worth it.

Got any more close up pictures of your engine mounts and crossmember? Are you using the Dodge first gen cummins mounts? Very nice swap.

I don't have any ore pics of the mount out of the vhicle but if you want some now that it's installed I can get them just let me know what you want to see. The mounts are just the stock 1st gen mounts. Thanks for the compliment.

Now a little update. Man work really keeps me from doing what I'm supposed to be doing (working on my truck). I have finally gotten the right fans and condender to get the front end put together. I need to locate some fittings and get it closed up this week. I will post some pics as soon as I get it done. Still waiting to get my pump resealed. Progress is slow but it is happening.

I'm interested in the front crossmember and how its tied into the frame on your Travelette. Would also like to see your I/C, radiator, and condsenor fitting.

Shortbus,

I will get some pics of te radiator/condenser/fan set up after I get it all in this week. Mine is non-IC so I can't help you there.
Here is a top pic of the mount as well as one taken from underneath. Note the hole through the bottom of the crossmember for the stock mount bolt.

Ok Shortbus, as promised pics of the condenser and fan install.

I started out by putting some 3/4 inch spacers behind the radiator.

Then I built a mount our of some flat stock I had lying around. It took many fittings to get it to set in there right. The slope at the top and the hood releas cased most of the problems. I also cut out some reliefs for hooking up the AC lines.

I threaded the fan ties through the back of the mount and then secured the condenser to the back side of the mount. Doing this allowed the condenser to sit back in the opening a little more (hence the spacers behind the radiator). I sat it in then placed the fans in and secured them. Beause of the angle I couldn't get it in place with the whole thing assembled. Once it was all in a secured it behind the radiator supports with some self tapping screws.

I set the grill in place just to make sure it would still fit. The hard part is going to be getting the screws in the grill. It can be done I just may have to get my daughter's little habds to get them started.
