We are headed up to Banner Elk that day for a long weekend getaway, and I had planned on doing lunch in Asheville to kill some time on the way. Maybe we will come to Catawba instead... will there be food at this thing? Are there any notable restaurants in the area?

OCS makes good sandwiches, but just basic lunch grub in the direct area of the show. You'd probably have to venture to Hickory or Moorseville to get anything fancy.

Notable restaurants? i dunno... Old Company Store is a Boar's head deli... The local volunteer fire department will be grillin' out.

It will be a good time, so stop on by, we are only about a mile off I40, exit 138!
