I'll be there again this year. This time I will have my 800. Will be leaving Evergreen on Friday. Perhaps follow Gary up there. Will most likely be making the usual stop and Phil's to hang out. Pretty excited, getting the scout wrapped up by then is gonna be fun. Hoping my seats and other interior items will be ready to pick up from the upholster this week... Fingers crossed!

I plan on going if I get an interior installed.

In the last week I have been lucky enough to encounter and contract floor welding with a long-time binder who shall remain nameless, but I wanted to share a story.

I have entrusted my beloved IH to him for new floors and mounts. I do not have the skills or equipment to repair them myself.

Normally, I would be a wreck, not knowing who is working on my truck and how bad they would mess it up. My guy gone so far as to send me photos and updates as 'proof' of his work, quality and correctness.

I am very fortunate to have met this man. Restores ones faith that there are still those who are willing to do it right.

I wonder what a business could do if it was made up of those who care about the customer and the product; Too often the opposite is true.

If you read this, thank you sir.

Jon

Lol at making him nameless! He is the man, plain and simple. He is the only guy I trust with any scout work. His knowledge and craftsmanship is ridicuolous!
Not to mention he is a good friend of mine as well as my lunch buddy! LoL!

On the road with my cross country trip----Stoped at the ACD museum if you ever get in to the Auburn Ind area put this on your list to see. Next stop was the RP roundup in Du Quion Ill. A lot of tractors [1000] but only about 20 Scouts and trucks. Some Binder Planet folks there. On to Dan Agees IH museum in Nevada MO. Spent the whole afternoon there and didn't see it all. There must be at least 50 restored and unrestored trucks in his collection. A lot of very unusual ones. How about a KB 2 with a 4 cyl Hercules desiel motor that was install back in the late 40s. This truck was used in the Texas oil fields. Plus buildings with IH memorbila. If you are ever in the area give Don a call 816 305 0828, he really enjoys showing off his collection

Good News! As of today, Park County has lifted the Fire Ban so campers CAN have campfires on the Fairgrounds. We request you build them responsibly and clean them out before you leave. We usually have 3-4 and they generally welcome anyone that want's to come by and join the camaraderie and the discussions. They're all different groups that have different interests.

Please buy your campfire wood locally in Fairplay as we don't need any more bad insects. The Mountain Pine Beetle is bad enough as it is already. Transporting campfire wood in and into Colorado is illegal.
