A very good learning experience indeed!

Thanks so much!

So now back to the 350 tunes. That file that I sent you. Thats the 350 BIN you sent me before for a manual trans and an upgraded timing map. Could you double check that for me please? Then if all is well after this weekend I will flash another chip and see how it runs with the 350 tune instead of the 360 tune.

Hey Bill, so what would happen if you tried to run a tbi 350 with its factory harness and computer just without the auto hooked up anymore with the auto tune still?

Nothing.

With the auto bin and nothing hooked up the ecm sees it as being in gear all the time.

You still need to get rid of knock and EGR and VSS if not used.

Well the engine runs the same. There might be some fall-off parameters that are different for easier shifting. But I've flipped the flag myself. All my PCMs are autos, but running a 727, I set the flag to manual. is that what you meant?

Well you both answered my question. Would you happen to have a BIN for a manual trans bill? Possibly with that hotter timing curve?

Thanks!

Ill just flash a new chip for it as an manual if I have to get rid of the other 2 sensors anyways.

I would recommend just starting with the ASDU as mentioned in the FAQ's.
It is a 5.7auto and works fine.
Just copy and paste the timing table into the table and make the basic chip adjustments per the FAQ.
No need to set the manual bit.

If you want me to set you up a bin then you have to go to the machine shop forum and look up Hamilton Fuel Injection. Or click the link in my Sig.

So for the timing table I imagine you are talking about this one? http://www.binderplanet.com/forums/a...7&d=1303754596

Thanks!

Actually if you are back to the 350 chevy then that table may be too much depending on the year.
If it's one of the older carb 350s then it should be fine.
If it's a later swirwl port or lean burn then the table may cause ping.
