Very nice work. Dino is newer (74) but after your efforts your 73 is being reborn.

Worked on the scout. I pressure washed the undercarriage and put on some 3M rubberized undercoating.

Stabbed the engine/transmission!!!!

Got some work done on the scout this past weekend.
Here's the transfer case I pulled off the 727.

Here are some pictures of the build. Surprisingly only one bearing was bad, I was thinking this thing was gonna be junk.

I put some new u-joints in the rear drive shaft and straighten and balanced it.

And to end the day, I pulled the gas tank, definitely going to need a new one of those, it was nasty.

Hey, thanks trbixler, it's been fun so far.

Playing the waiting game for an OEM wiring harness right now. So the scout is on semi-pause mode. Ive been working on it the past couple of days. I'll upload some pictures tomorrow.

So, I moved about a week ago and I am afraid that I may have lost my keys to the scout in transition, been unpacking boxes and STILL cant find them. Do you all know where I can get a set of blank keys from?
Thanks!

Try Mark Drake @ Scout Madness in Lubbock. If he doesn't have the IH blanks, then he may have a different lockset and key, if not, try SSS!
Great Progress Vince! more pics needed!

Nice build. If you havent attempted to get the beauty rings off the grill yet, be real careful. Very easy to break these....yeah I broke mine and have been looking for a set ever since so I can put the 73 grill in. I had to go with a 79 grill. good luck
