Default Fuel pump for E85 EFI?

Any suggestions on where to find an inline pump that will handle E85? Need to make 70 psi or so.

Have you looked up the specs on the master airtex pumps in the FAQ's?
They are for production vehicles so one would have to "assume" they can handle todays fuels.

I actually called Airtex and they said they can't handle that "dry" of a fuel. The seals can handle it, but the lack of lubrication with the e85 will toast them.
The ones made for flex fuel vehicles have goofy pickups, nothing inline barbed. I can't even find anything on summit or jegs for alky and EFI.

Maybe just mod your tank for an intank FFV pump or go with a fuel cell and the FFV pump.

I wonder what the life span would be on the airtex inline pump on E85 since it can handle E10.
Might be worth it to just run one of them to test and tune your system to see if you really want to run E85 full time.
Just run one of the metal final filters to prevent anything from getting to the engine if it goes bad.

Your obviously not doing it for fuel mileage or cost savings so it must be for a performance application.

I believe the Scout that was built on Xtreme 4x4 was using E85 and a TBI setup, so there must be aftermarket pumps out there that can do it. They have the episodes on their website, I don't remember whether they mention what pump they use or not. I'm sure Aeromotive manufactures pumps that are E85 compatible.

Aeromotive, nor any of the aftermarket suppliers that I have looked at offer an e85 compatible pump that can make 70psi+ of pressure.

This is neither for performance or mileage, it's for a single cylinder of an eco-tec research engine at a university. We toasted a marine 11110 pump from Aeromotive already. The brushes on the motor wore down to nothing quickly from running on e85.

I looked at putting a pump in the day tank but it would be difficult to do correctly and safely. Right now I am going to try to make an inline adapter for a '99 ranger flex fuel's pump and see if it can do the job.

I work at a automotive shop in Portland and we deal a lot in E85. We've never had an issue with Walbro pumps. They advertise E85 pumps also.
