Question 1945 ih m-5-h6

New to trend and looking for ANY and ALL HELP; PLEASE

Helping my father with a 4-year old project, frame off restore of a 1945 IH M5H6 dump truck USMC. Need help with parts. Frame currently sanded down and repainted already.

Using the Military Vehicles magazine for a lot: Vintage Wiring in Maine, Black out lights and switches to soon follow. Anyone on the East Coast know where else to look or go?

Desperate to find a seat bottom and backpad. None existent when purchased nor any dimensions to build one. Does anyone have any information; pictures or dimensions?

Hydro-Booster rebuild, anyone?

How to remove steering wheel properly, currently lifted cab around steering wheel because could not remove it, afraid of breaking off incorrectly.

Hope to trend on here often while building/restoring. Looking forward to talking with all

The guy selling this M3 on Ebay has lots of IHC parts in RI.
His name is Dana Pettingrew. go to the auction and ask the seller (Dana) what else he has.

Call Brake Systems, Incorporated.

The owner is a guy named Terry Dovre, and he is one of the movers and shakers in the American Truck Historical Society, and belongs to the Oregon Trail Chapter. He told us when we were working on the M-5H-6 at the Powerland that his company could rebuild the hydrovac unit in it, and I have kept that in the back of my mind for my own truck.

I always thought the seat frame for the M-5H-6 was the same seat frame as the K/KB civilian trucks. I 'may' have one, if you can't find a civvie unit locally. It is just a set of springs, and would need to be sent to a local upholsterer.
