Default turn signal switch replacing

'75 304 Scout II.
manual out & greasy.

Steering wheel off, lock ring, etc. - all disassembled

Ready to remove harness and I realize I have factory A/C

two quick questions:

3 bracket screws and the A/C vents will be out of my way?
Do I understand there's a chance my new harness won't have the same connectiion as the old? (got it from the folks out of Cal., IIRC)

Thanx for any help.

I'm not sure I understand your issue. Are you replacing the entire wiring harness bumper to bumper or just the TS switch? Its a common Saginaw steering column. I don't see what bearing A/C or not would have on replacing on any column component other than possible under dash clearance issues for accessing molded plug connections.

Yes you can just drop it down with those 3 or 4 bolts, you can disconnect the wires from the circuit breaker and swing it aside w/o disconnecting the thermostat and fan wires usually. That will get you the clearance to access the connector. GM did use 2 different connectors for the turnsignal sw, we have the common straight one. There is an adapter that is often included but that shouldn't be an issue.
