Sorry for the slow progress but it is a scout thing. I'm sure most of you understand.

I have gathered more parts: radiator trans cooler, remote oil filter setup, a short steering column and jeep slip shaft to hook up to grand Cherokee box .

I am going to change out the rear crossmember to 2x4 tube but I'm stuck! How do you get the top 2 bolts out of the frame at the rear crossmember?

Update!

Made a little progress tonight. Started mocking up the radiator.

Think I got it where it will go. It should be ok if it sets on the stock front crossmember. And I have some tabs tack in to keep it located and will ad robber and a top mount to clamp it down so I will not vibrate.

Then I moved my attention back to the rear crossmember and got it off. Then I cleaned up the frame ends and cut some 2x4 3/16 to length and got it in place and tacked in. No pics of it yet but I feel a lot better about it and it will make a good base for a bumper.

This looks good though

More pics also got oil filters and trans cooler plumbed.

I will drive it onto the trailer to go to binder bee......

IT RUNS!

Today I picked up my flexplate and pulled the tranny put it on. Filled up the trans and motor. Primed the new filters. Put the starter in hooked a jumper cable up to the starter. Put some jumper wires in the glow plug connector. When I plumbed the oil lines I put in a low pressure sender so I put a test light on it and cranked it slow on a low battery till the light went out. Then put the charger on it. I put the glow plugs to power I barely touched the crank trigger to the battery and IT LIT so fast I was stunned.

Figured out where the bumpstops need to be at.

Now need to get the fuel system in, skin the tunnel, cage, mount seats, maybe even wire before sept 13.

nice job. just had a chance to skim through. will read details when i have more time. have been extremely busy with work.

I saw the bushing's you used for the motor mounts. wondering how the vibration would be without using actual motor mounts?
