Default Did the 2300 carb swap. Good bye pos 2210c

Finally got around to doing the swap from the smog o Matic 2210 c to the 2300

I found a brand spanking new one on e bay for a steal of a price. It's the newer center hung float model.

While I was at it I sand blasted prime red and painted the intake valley pan and valve covers to clean up things and to stop the oil leaks ( on top anyway. )

Have lots more power now and don't have to beg and pump forever to get her fire up. Runs real smooth. My brother has my
Engine anylizer and timing light so when I get that back I'll probly be in even better shape.

I highly recommend te swap for those who can do it.

Before

After

If only the rest if the motor was that clean......

That looks great. Did you have to change and linkage for your 727 automatic or did you use the stuff from the 2100

I did the same thing to my 1980 304 recently and the power increase and improved starting are incredible.

The old kick down linkage works just fine.

You'll see it in the pics. I can take some more detailed shots if you want.

I did have I buy a bracket to allow for full travel of the throttle.

Also did some experimenting with different return springs to get it to feel nice but also operate properly.
