Default Re: Do 16" wheel covers exist?

Jeez, I never even noticed that. Wait a minute... do I have 15" rims? or is it possible to have a 15" tire on a 16" rim? This is not my area of expertise.

Line setting ticket says:

16 IN DISK FRT WHL (and rr whl)
600 X 16 6PR TT

and the rim itself measures exactly 16" across.

thanks,
mc

you have to measure from the bead,it's at the radius or curve 1/2" or so from the very outer edge of the rim.where the bead of the tire seat's inside the rim.jeff

Jeff,

You are the man. Thank you for the wheel knowledge. Now I know that I have 15" rims. Total diameter is just over 16", but bead diameter as you mentioned is spot on 15".

My wheels may have just gotten a bit smaller (in my head) but my search for some vintage wheel covers just got a little bit easier.
