BTW, before you assume any person or supposed business is reputable, call on the nearest club to that area and inquire about the performance/reputation of said individual. Your safest bet is to stick with Official Light line dealers or local enthusiasts in your club. Can't stress enough that your club members will know and quickly steer you away from the TURDS. You would be appauled at what some people are capable of. Good luck and happy shopping. HTH
searchtempest.com is pretty slick! Thanks!

I searched for "Official Light line dealers Texas" and found only one in Texas--Scout M.A.D. ness in Lubbock--but they're a parts dealer. Great info for parts I'll need, but right now I'm looking for a reputable Scout dealer and/or restorer. Any tips for that?

As for calling on the nearest club, I figured your club is the one nearest Waco. How do I find clubs nearest the seller?

Scout M.A.D.ness has had some nice SII's for sale in the past, might be worth a call to see if he knows of something.
