Default Brake issues

My rear left brake shoe is burning up. I have taken it apart numerous times to see where it is wearing and the was one little spot. I have checked springs and everything to figure out why this brake keeps smoking and burning up. About a mile into each ride I take it on it starts smoking and then gets upper super hot. . I have taken it all apart numerous times and the shoes function properly. I figured after a while the spot would stop wearing as the fresh breaks were self adjusting. But this problem was so bad yesterday I had to come home because I was afraid of the brake catching fire or over heating the rim causing the tire to blow ...it was that hot.

I don't know where to startotherthan I know for fact the brake itself is functioning right? Some one yesterday said it could be a warped drum ?

Any one who can help me figure out what's going on I will be very great full seeing as this is one of the only problems that's keeping me from enjoying my scout.

Are you sure the parking brake isn't hung up. Is the cable moving freely and releasing fully?

Might check that brake pedal is returning all the way up and not pushing on piston in master cylinder. Jeff

Jay has it. The MC should be 1/4" [6mm] down when full.

Also, air in that line can cause brake drag. Bleed all lines again.

Double check that the adjuster (starwheel) is facing the right direction. It can "self-adjust" constantly in the wrong direction.
