unfortunately this site has had numerous changes and lots of writeups got lost.
Here's one with good info.

I adjusted the rear band and refilled the transmission. Unfortunately this had only the slightest effect. However, while I was tensioning the rear band I did notice that the piston that drove the lever arm appeared to be bound in its bore. The lever arm and the rod that is pushed by the piston were able to move freely, but the piston itself was solidly in position. Is this my problem.... maybe?

As I said in an earlier posting, I was having the engine re-built, and yesterday was the day to deliver it..... So in the end I was able to achieve decent running condition before reverse gave out on me, and over the course of the past week or so I learned ALOT about my TBI system (enough to be able to function without the manuals) so a good bit of my goals were accomplished!

THANK YOU Binders!

I suppose I will return in a few weeks when I get the truck back and begin tuning the system to the upgraded and renewed engine. In the meanwhile I'll spend my time reading the FAQs.

Most Gratefully,
Brad

If the servo piston is stuck, it's your problem.
They can get tilted in the bore and stick.
There is a mod performed when installing the transgo TF2 shift kit to keep this from happening.
you have to grind the inner seal land diameter smaller.

See you in a few weeks.

The truck's still away and in pieces, but I'm putting myself to school by reading all I can about programming, and I had a quick question: Can I read the bin file from the chips that John (CustomEFIs) made, in order to use them as a starting point? Or are they only executable and I'd need source code from John? If I can read it, what would I use (burn1/2?)
