Default IH Cast Iron Bears

Here are some of my IH Bear and Cadets. These were made at the Louisville Works Foundry from the First Pour of the Foundry. The Bears were made because of the farmall cub slogan " A Cub in Size But a Bear for Work". I'm always interested in buying more in case any of you have any, or run across some. Thanks.

Those are pretty nice.
I assume they become yardsale finds.

It would be nice to have one on the shelf for a conversation piece.
I assume the others are Cadets?

Interesting find, the IHC Tractor plant in Geelong produced steel and bronze kangaroo's probably for the same reason - promotion, i think the roo's were designed as a paper weight.

Yes the others are cadets to celebrate different dates of cadet production. The cadets are dated 1960, 1973, and 1974. The bears are dated 1949, 1973, and I have one 1979 dated bear.

There are quite a few of the kangaroo's around here. I saw two or three at a local show here this weekend. I was always afraid to buy one because of reproductions. How much are they in australia? Thanks

They fetch over $100 AUD which is $65 USD, they pop up on EBAY from time to time here.

Misterfixit...do you ever come across the IH kookaburra (did I spell that right?). They are a paperweight like the kangaroo. Would like to find one.
