Default Scoutparts.com service gripe

Before I start, I realize this forum is not a venting place. I thought i would share my experience with one of the scout parts vendors. I will try and keep it to the point, and unbiased.
I was looking to order a few parts for my 800B, which I helped restore with my late father, and inherited years later. I needed a fuel tank valve, and a few other goodies.
I checked a few web sites, and saw that "scoutparts.com" had this part, but had 4 of them listed under 800b at that time. Their descriptions were vague, so i sent them an email (actually 4 emails over a few weeks) and was sent the reply "call to order".
Ok, i got my list together, one fuel valve, two sets of leaf spring bushings, and a carb spacer for my freshly rebuild holley.
When i called, and told them my year make model ect, i was told no problem with any of the parts. I did mention that there were 4 listed, and was unsure which one would fit, again, no problem.
well my order came no problem. right off the bat, i spotted the valve that they sell, and saw it would not work as a drop in replacement. I called, they said they sell hundreds of these, and had no problems. I can understand parts not being the same, in either looks or function but When I called, I stated i was looking for a replacement, and there was no mention of it not working as stock. I was told return it and i would be given a refund. well a few weeks went by, and no credit on my card was given. after a number of calls, i was told that i was given a store credit of 80%. also about this time, i checked the bushings, and found them to be to small. I called and was told they were for an older scout 80-800, not the 800B and to send them back. Oh and they did get the truck info correct over the phone, as it was right on top of the order. well to make a long story much shorter (sorry), it took from september 12th, until well into late January of the new year to get my money back. It involved many phone calls, and a credit card dispute (thank you citicard).
I restored my first car about 20 years back, and have NEVER had so many problems with any parts dealer.
Many phone calls were met with voice mails, and no return calls. many times promised a refund to my card, nothing. Having done this sort of thing before, i understand parts get mixed up, paperwork gets lost, ect. but every call, every person spoken to, terrible service. I have always been polite and understanding to everyone i spoke to. This is my vent. Apologies if this is not the place for it.
Thanks for reading, oh and i ordered from Super Scout Specialists, and am in awe of their fine service. My wife ordered a few T shirts for my christmas gift, love them
sincerely
