Default Inherited 1966 Travelette

My father bought a 1966 Travelette when I was born. It took 44 years, but I finally talked him out of it. It hasn't run since 1996, but I plan on bringing it back to it's full glory...

First thing I did was sand blast and powder coat the wheels...got some new rubber and I can at least roll the beast around...

Had the fuel tank rebuilt by "Looper"...excellent work...I replaced the filler neck, fuel lines, fuel pump, and had the carb rebuilt. Plugs, wires, and she started right up...

Lots of memories...this was the only thing my father drove from 1966 until around 1985...all 5 of my brother and sisters learned to drive on it and when we were kids, we thought it was a fire truck...we all called it "Big Red"..

Got an 8 foot bed, in much better condition from Wes Van Pelt, a great guy and IH enthusiast... I need to cut it down to 6 foot to make it fit...

Fine work!
Did you have to clean your gauges - mine are all dusty on the inside.

I took the guages apart, blew out the inside, removed the chrome rings, had them rechromed, and reassembled them...
