Default doors flew open!

Hi guys I have a story for you. Today my SSII doors had a mind of their own. I drove on a 2 hour trip today and it was 83 degrees outside and very windy here in WI. Within the first 15 miles I noticed my driver side door was not latched and flapping in and out unlocked,so I closed it and all was good on that side for the rest of the trip. However, the passenger door came open twice on the interstate in the wind, it was as if a ghost unlatched the door! But I believe it was the wind pushing the doors in and out and the latch would then release so when I got home I tightened the pressure up on the door latches..Mind I haven't ever had this happen in the last 7 years of driving it off and on in some windy weather.... I was just wondering if anyone has had this experience with these ssII doors?

Thanks and remember to tighten your door latch catches before one flies away!

Happens to me every once in a while. But, the wind keeps them pushed in, so it isn't a big concern. Usually I just rebend the doors a bit so there is additional "spring" to hold the latch tight.

Check the door handles, there is a spring that should keep the latch closed. I bought NOS handles on fleabay, they came with new springs.
