Question Where did you drive your IHC today?

I drove my Scout out to the valley south of the Vulture Mine and blew the cobwebs off the engine, then came back north and climbed a couple hills.

Scout is running great, happiest at 45-50, harmonics at 60+ make liftgate squeak like a trapped bird.

Beautiful day for Scouting around.

Where did you go?

Nowhere. Developed a leak in the carb. Have to get a kit tomorrow and do a rebuild. At least I'll git 'er done before AZIHR!

Took the top off Went to Florence Junction with the whole family and did the Woodpecker mine loop and then lower woodpecker. I recently built a new CV style driveshaft for the rear and it rides like a caddy. This week I am changing my gear ratio(4.33 to 1), installing a couple lockers( yukon grizzly rear and Lockright front) and a rear ford nine inch

We did that trail last weekend, in our Samurai. But we did it in reverse - started at Castle Hot Springs and ended in Wickenburg! Fun!

I drove my Scout in the Gold Rush Days Parade, here in Wickenburg, today.

My Yavapai County SAR group was right behind Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpiao.

I like to think the Scout got more applause.

I heard lots of positive comments along the way, but one parade announcer called my IHC a - shudder - "Bronco."

I quickly corrected him.

I recorded the route via a POV cam, and will try and post a bit here when I figure out how.

It IS fun driving a Scout.
